Satellite Surface Processing

In 2001, we developed a cellular CNC system for satellite surface processing.

In this application, the difficulties were:

  • Real-time measurement, Real-time processing, and Speed measurement in nanoseconds.
  • Since the outer surface of the satellites are made of composites, it required the speed and torque of the system to be smooth.
  • Valuable satellite artifacts left no room for trial processing opportunities.
  • Anti-interference

Our engineers spent almost 6 month on designing and testing, achieving exceptional results.

This system contains the EMAC200 with 4 axes, controls three DC brush motors, achieves nanosecond measurement using high-speed I/O flag signals, and ensures machining accuracy.
